1. Lakeside Music Series

If you haven’t been to the Lakeside Music Series, make this the year you go! Every Friday night, live music fills the air at The Shops at Lakeside. It’s casual, fun, and totally free. Bring a lawn chair, grab dinner or ice cream from a nearby spot, and settle in for a relaxing evening under the stars. You’ll see families, couples, and groups of friends just hanging out and enjoying the vibe.

2. Flower Mound Farmers Market at the River Walk

Held every Sunday, this farmers market is the perfect way to slow down and enjoy your morning. You’ll find fresh produce, local honey, baked goods, handmade crafts—and maybe even a new favorite coffee or salsa vendor. It’s a great excuse to walk along the River Walk and run into neighbors.

3. Heritage Park

4.Twin Coves Park on Grapevine Lake

Looking for outdoor fun in Flower Mound? Twin Coves Park is a peaceful retreat right on Grapevine Lake. You’ll find RV sites, fully furnished cabins, a fishing pier, kayaks, shaded trails, and a playground for the kids. Whether you’re camping overnight or just spending a day by the water, this park offers a beautiful, quiet escape.

Heads up—there is a small entry fee per vehicle, but most visitors agree it’s totally worth it.

5. Murrell Park + Northshore Trail

Murrell Park is one of Flower Mound’s hidden gems, especially if you love being active outdoors. Located on the northern edge of Grapevine Lake, this park is free to enter and features lakefront picnic spots, fishing areas, primitive campsites, and gorgeous sunset views.

But the highlight? Murrell is home to the Northshore Trail—one of the most popular mountain biking and hiking trails in North Texas. The trail winds for miles along the lake with scenic views, wooded areas, and plenty of challenging sections for bikers and hikers alike. 6.Independence Fest

Every July, Independence Fest brings Flower Mound together for a massive celebration.
